We are very pleased that Jonathan Dean, Education Associate of Seattle Opera, joined us on this tour. We had the unique opportunity of having our very own private Wagner expert with us. Each opera day, Jonathan prepared us for the opera in his intelligent, insighful and witty style. Following the opera, he joined us in a post-opera discussion at a private wine and cheese debriefing.

Jonathan has written the English supratitle captions for more than 40 productions of Seattle Opera, San Diego, Chicago Lyric, Hawaii, as well as producing OperaWise for Seattle Radio 98.1, writing for Seattle Opera Spotlight Guide, presenting informational opera sessions, plus introducing thousands of students to opera through his Experience Opera and Opera Goes to School series.

The Toronto Ring Cycle was designed by a "Dream Team". They are Michael Levine and Tim Albery. Each of the four operas has a different director - Atom Egoyan, Francois Girard, Michael Levine, and Tim Albery - they are united by sets and costumes by Michael Levine and the vision of conductor Richard Bradshaw. Cast includes Frances Ginzer, Christian Franz, Peteris Eglitis, Richard Berkley-Steele, Adrienne Pleczonka, Clifton Forbis, Phillip Ens.

A large part of the Ring Experience is in sharing events with other like-minded RingHeads, so Valhalla Opera Tours created ample opportunities for this. Having Jonathan Dean as our private Wagner expert, added a priceless dimension to this tour. Every effort was made to offer participants the best value tour.

Cost: $5990 US Funds - Tour Package
    Single Supplement: $1150 US funds
